During the conference, José António Fonseca de Oliveira Correia (University of Porto, Portugal) was awarded with the Manson-Coffin IGF medal, Liviu Marsavina (University Politehnica Timisoara, Romania) was awarded with the Paolo Lazzarin IGF medal and Giuseppe Andrea Ferro (Politecnico di Torino, Italy) was awarded with the IGF Honorary Membership. Finally, Filippo Berto was elected as new IGF President for the 2021-2025 years. Many new services have been activated. Among them, the journal browsable version now offers the Visual Abstracts in a new and captivating version (https://fis.cld.bz/Issues). The journal is completely free of charge both for readers and for authors and it is well indexed (e.g., Scopus since 2012 and WoS since 2015). In 2022, IGF, in cooperation with the Algerian, the Greek and the Spanish groups, will organize in Catania and on web the 2nd Mediterranean Conference on Fracture and Structural Integrity, MedFract2 (February 14-16, 2022; https://www.medfract.eu). Obviously, the conference is open to the contribution of researchers from all over the world… not only from the Mediterranean countries!
